For this 5-room HDB renovation in Pasir Ris, the homeowners envisioned a modern contemporary interior grounded in quiet luxury design — refined, clutter-free and deeply intentional. J'Abode Interiors approached the project with rigorous space planning and sensitivity to lifestyle needs. By reworking the original layout and redefining functional zoning, we transformed the home into a minimalist luxury home that feels calm, elevated and intuitively organised — where every line, junction and material choice reflects thoughtful design.

The living room was designed as an editorial canvas — clean, sculptural and quietly expressive. Cove lighting washes the ceiling in a soft glow, maintaining seamless lines while eliminating visual clutter. A floating TV console anchors the space, concealing a bespoke karaoke system behind fabric acoustic doors that discreetly hide speakers while allowing sound to travel effortlessly. Ghost track doors maintain visual continuity, while automated blinds transition from diffused daylight to full blackout at the touch of a button. Every detail reflects smart home integration and bespoke carpentry crafted for modern living.
The open concept kitchen was reimagined for hosting and everyday elegance. A standalone island introduces additional storage while creating a natural gathering point. An L-shaped layout with a corner cabinet door solution maximises appliance counter storage, complemented by a full-height wine cabinet for refined entertaining. A built-in niche within the appliance counter discreetly houses the robot vacuum — a small yet meaningful example of thoughtful space planning. Wrapped in a warm, quiet luxury material palette and layered lighting, the kitchen balances functionality with understated sophistication.
Understanding the owners’ daily rhythms, we strategically swapped the original master bedroom and study to create greater privacy and a more intentional spatial flow. The dedicated gaming and work studio — where the homeowners spend most of their time — was designed as a high-performance yet visually restrained environment. Seamless built-ins and bespoke carpentry conceal wiring and equipment, while the master bedroom features a projector wall integrated cleanly into the architecture. This reconfiguration reflects our belief that great HDB renovation begins with understanding how clients truly live.
Integrated Pet Zone in the Study
Because the homeowners cherish time with their dogs, the home office incorporates a dedicated pet play zone — thoughtfully integrated into the carpentry. A built-in pet house and defined play area allow them to work or game while remaining connected to their pets. One of the home’s most distinctive features is its Sculptural Recessed Ambient Wall Lighting — custom circular niches integrated directly into the walls. These perforated ambient light details cast soft, artistic shadows across surfaces, introducing architectural depth without visual excess. Instead of decorative fixtures, the light itself becomes the statement.
